When wallets outlive their owners: our CEO keynotes Malaysia Blockchain Week 2026

At Malaysia Blockchain Week 2026 at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, Gambit Custody CEO Tan Ji Sheng delivered the keynote "When Wallets Outlive Their Owners: Custody, Trusts and the Keys Nobody Inherits" on the DFNS Institutional Stage — the question at the heart of Gambit Legacy Vault.

The talk walked through what actually happens to digital assets when the only person who can produce the keys is gone: frozen exchange accounts, hardware wallets nobody can open, and estates that stall for years. The answer Gambit has built — custody-grade storage held in trust with a written nomination, executed by a trust executor without probate — is the model the keynote put in front of the industry.

The following day, Tan joined the Institutional Stage panel "The Maturing Bitcoin Ecosystem: Infrastructure, Access and Institutional Demand", bringing the registered custodian's view to the discussion of institutional access in Southeast Asia.
