Gambit Custody receives SC in-principle approval as Digital Asset Custodian
The Securities Commission Malaysia granted in-principle approval for DAC registration — the milestone that started it all.
The Securities Commission Malaysia granted Gambit Custody Sdn. Bhd. in-principle approval for registration as a Digital Asset Custodian (DAC) — making it the second firm in Malaysia to reach this stage, with six months to fulfil the regulatory requirements before commencing operations.
The approval was covered by The Star, Fintech News Malaysia, Focus Malaysia, Regulation Asia and Blockhead. Fintech News Malaysia’s report quoted the leadership’s ambition for Gambit to become the go-to secure custody provider for digital assets in Malaysia.
Today, Gambit Custody is one of only three Registered Digital Asset Custodians on the SC’s Digital Assets register — verifiable on the SC’s official register.
